NEUTRO | audiovisual | 2017

Neutro is an audio-video multichannel live performance aimed to explores ‘insignificance’ using forms of sound that develop over time and space. The work has four parts, each part uses a different video technique, finding new way of correlation and elaboration of the images between computer graphic and processed footage. In the entire structure there are quick and sharp changes that highlight and follow the idea of flow and internal development of sound, pushing the expectation in the listener. The work is made by audiovisual figures iterated with different lengths in order to create a complex texture perceivable on different levels. The digital sounds are generated from layered sound samples, created using a variety of techniques (Physical modelling synthesis, FM synthesis, sampling and processing, FFT Filtering, Delay line, Comb). This results in an asynchronous, polyrhythmic audio-visual structure that changes in the space. The visual is directly linked to the audio trough amplitude analysis, the images are in sync or in contrast/opposition with the sound flow. The work is live performed with Ableton and MaxMSP in a quadraphonic space.
